Background:

A consistent theme underpins everything I write — the abuse of status by society’s elites, and how those with ability and power have a responsibility to use it for more than their own self-gain. I want to inspire today’s elite to be different from elites of the past.

The market for female-led stories is hot right now and we’re in the middle of a tech boom, so the story of Isaac Singer (the sewing machine tycoon) who both enslaved and emancipated women is highly relevant.

Comps include The Age of Innocence, Lady Macbeth, Gentleman Jack.
